Marceil Whitney
TOPs Founder - Director of Junior Development & Outreach
Marceil Whitney is the founder of TOPs and Eastside Tennis Center in Kirkland. She created the organization to remove barriers and make tennis accessible to all. Under her leadership, TOPs has grown into a hub for youth programs, education, and community engagement. She remains committed to creating opportunities for players of all ages to grow through sport.

Ted Kim
USPTA Certified Coach & Orange and Green Ball Program Manager
ed joined TOPs in 2019 as an Adult Coach and Orange and Green Ball Program Manager. Ted was a member of the top 10 team at Seattle University Men's Tennis Team, where he earned a degree in accounting. After a time in banking as a branch manager, Ted returned to his calling as a Tennis Professional. He has 20+ years coaching experience, including at Mill Creek Tennis Club where he directed the high performance junior programs and coaching multiple adult teams to national championships. He cultivated long term private lesson clientele and a devoted following with his high energy style and great command of tennis technique.

Madeleine Lapke
Program Manager - Pickleball
Madeleine joined TOPs in 2022 and quickly became a central force in growing our pickleball community. With her personable and caring nature, she has a unique ability to bring people together and spark excitement for the game. Now serving as Pickleball Program Manager, Madeleine leads our pickleball programs with the same passion and dedication that made her such a valued coach. She is committed to expanding opportunities for players of all ages and levels, ensuring everyone feels welcome to pick up a paddle and join in the fun.

Dave Halgren
Director of Operations
Dave serves as the Director of Operations for TOPs, where he oversees ETC and helps guide the organization’s day-to-day operations. Since stepping into the role in 2020, he has focused on making tennis and pickleball accessible to players of all ages and backgrounds while strengthening the center’s connection to the community. He brings a hands-on approach to leadership, from welcoming families at the front desk to managing programs, partnerships, and long-term planning. Dave is passionate about creating opportunities through sport and supporting the continued growth and impact of TOPs.

Vaiana Guittet
Program & Operations Manager
Vaiana has been a longtime member of the TOPs team, bringing energy and a strong sense of care to the community. She serves as Red Ball Program Manager and Front Desk Manager, supporting players and families from their very first visit. In addition, she leads program scheduling and staff coordination across the facility. Her attention to detail and commitment help create a seamless and welcoming experience for all.

Rob Box
USPTA Certified Recreation Team & Adult Program Manager
Rob was born and raised in Bellevue, WA. He began his tennis career with lessons through the Redmond Parks Department and Marceil Whitney. His passion for tennis continued throughout his seasons on the Sammamish High School Boys Team, and on the Seattle University Men's Tennis team where he received a 4-year Athletic Scholarship. Rob played both singles and doubles all 4 years. Seattle U Men's Tennis finished 10th in the nation during his Senior year (1993). Rob's teaching career began as an assistant instructor at Robinswood Tennis Center in Bellevue and evolved into Tennis Professional positions with Mark Frisby Tennis Academy, PNW Adidas Tennis Camps, and The Edgebrook Club. He was a Head Tennis Professional at The Samena Club and Mercerwood Shore Club. Most recently he was a tennis Professional at Mill Creek Tennis Club. He also spent 5 years as the Assistant Manager of Avanti Sports in Bellevue. Rob and his wife Jennifer of 30+ years have 4 children, Rob, Matthew, Alyssa & Sarah.

Travis Roach
Program & Competition Manager
Travis was one of the original founders of Eastside Tennis Center, helping bring the facility to life in 2012. Since returning in 2020, he has played an integral role across nearly every area of the organization. From leading junior tournaments to supporting high performance programming and scheduling, his experience continues to shape the center. He also contributes to the organization’s long-term growth and development, helping guide future opportunities for TOPs."
